The Melges 24, built by Devoti, the sole European builder for the Melges 24 class. The boat was deisgned by Reichel/Pugh in 1992 and features a number of America's Cup innovations - the use of carbon fibre, vertical lifting carbon rudder with lead bulb, a kelp cutter for weed clearance, carbon spar, rudder and bow sprit.
